Te Roopu Pookai Taaniwhaniwha Inc
Te Roopu Pookai Taaniwhaniwha Inc is a kaupapa Maori Tangata Whaiora community based mental health service. The organisation was established in 1993. The primary goal of this organisation is to support people with experience of a mental illness to get well and to stay well by providing the following services:
- Free day centre as a place to come to for a cup of tea/coffee and to korero about matters relating to whanau health in general
- Free training and education on mental health awareness, wellbeing and recovery
- Free hearing voices workshop from people who have experience of a mental illness
- Free peer support and whanau support for people affected by a mental illness
- Free information and guidance in regards to accessing help and support from different agencies within the health sector
Te Roopu Pookai Taaniwhaniwha is also in the development of the following projects:

2. Mauriora Tinana
3. Primary Mental Health
4. Whakawhanaungatanga
