Background to NGO PRIMHD
Background
Initial NGO Advisory group
The role of the initial NGO advisory group was to guide the preliminary activity of PRIMHD in relation to the NGO sector. Tasks achieved included; the development of an NGO implementation approach, development of funding options and an NGO PRIMHD communication and engagement plan. The work of this group has finished and a PRIMHD NGO UsER GROUP has now been established.
Stage 1 NGOs who were already reporting
The first stage of the PRIMHD for NGOs was to transition all the organisations that had been reporting to the previous mental health information collection (MHINC) to the new PRIMHD reporting system.
3 organisations that were already reporting electronically are now reporting to PRIMHD.
22 organisations are reporting their PRIMHD data using paper forms as an interim measure until the web-based application is ready.
Stage 2 - New NGOs to report
There are approximately twenty NGOs identified as the next group to be targeted for PRIMHD compliance. These are organisations with large mental health and addiction contracts.
Progress:
1 organisation has achieved full compliance and is reporting electronically
1 organisation has achieved provisional compliance and is testing accuracy
2 organisations have begun provisional compliance testing
Stage 3– Reporting for the rest of the sector
Stage three is currently made up of all the other NGOs that are contracted to provide a wide variety of activity.
