Auckland Auckland Sky Line

Greater Auckland is the largest and most populous urban area in New Zealand with over 1.4 million residents, over a quarter of the country's population. Demographic trends indicate that it will continue to grow faster than the rest of the country. Increasingly cosmopolitan, Auckland also has the largest Polynesian population of any city in the world.

Organising helath in Auckland is complex as it has three District Health Boards Auckland, Counties Manukau and Waitemata. There are times when they work collaboratively .

The NNC was established October 2003.  It is made up of key stakeholders from the mental health sector and the community including community mental health and addiction providers.
