Stepping Out Hauraki

Stepping Out Hauraki is an adult mental health and addiction consumer run organisation.
We provide:

• peer support
• advocacy
• resources
• referrals
• phone support
• a monthly newsletter
• out reach rural peer support groups in the Thames Hauraki area
• daily workshops and programs in the centre.

We are peer led with a governance committee made up of our members.

We are funded mainly from the Ministry of Health and Waikato District Health Board, but also apply for funding from the Lotteries Grants Board - Community Organisation Grants Scheme and Trust Waikato.
We run events during the year and network with all other mental health agencies in this area.
