Platform, on behalf of its members, has launched the Fair Funding campaign to raise the issues of unfair funding and contracting practices of District Health Boards (DHBs).
The aim of Fair Funding is to establish an equitable funding system, securing the sustainability of the NGO mental health and addiction sector.
We believe that NGO services in the community are at risk and if NGOs are not funded fairly, people may no longer be able to access community support and DHBs will be required to support them through their own services. This will be a backward step for New Zealand’s mental health care system.
