On Track

On Track is the  Roadmap that aims to inform, shape and influence the future direction of the mental health and addiction sector. This is an intiative of Te Pou and Platform Trust.

People have told us that to develop the kinds of services that New Zealanders want and need, we have to make progress in seven key areas.

• Support greater service user self-determination
• Focus on system redesign
• Improve the workforce capability
• Address the investment and sustainability issues
• Enhance community engagement
• Use the evidence
• Strengthen organisational infrastructure

We propose that doing all of these things will shift the collective focus from many individual services to a mental health and wellbeing system. On Track is a road map to help inform, shape and influence activity at three levels in the system with these seven key priority areas in mind.
