Higher Ground believes that all New Zealanders have a right to a life free of alcohol and other drug dependency. The primary goal of our Therapeutic Community is to foster personal growth and to minimise harm to self and society.

We are committed to ongoing research and review of the effectiveness of our services.

We provide rehabilitation programmes that are based on 12 Step recovery principles. We believe the spiritual dimensions of honesty, open mindedness, willingness, faith, hope, respect and generosity are the foundations of healing. We emphasise that clients need to take individual responsibility for their recovery.
