Free information and training, and advocacy for policies and services that support people with experience of mental illness, and their whānau and friends.

The Mental Health Foundation (MHF) is a charity that works towards creating a society free from discrimination, where all people enjoy positive mental health and wellbeing. 

The MHF works to help uplift the wellbeing of people across Aotearoa, and support/tautoko the 1 in 5 Kiwis who experience a mental illness each year. Their work is diverse and ever evolving. They:

  • Support workplaces to create safe, inclusive environments where mental health is part of the everyday conversation,
  • Provide free suicide prevention resources,
  • Deliver national wellbeing campaigns,
  • Provide suicide bereavement support,
  • Advocate for appropriate, timely and culturally responsive mental health services and more.
