Providing mental health, addiction, and housing services in the community of South Auckland.
We formally began operations in June 2001 with only one service (Family Support). Since our humble beginnings, Penina has developed to provide a much wider range of services such as adult and youth community living services, cultural support services, alcohol and other drug education, family and peer support, parenting programmes, residential rehabilitation, transitional housing, and social housing.
Penina is committed to the principle of recovery. We exist to support people and their loved ones on their journey through illness and towards recovery. Penina is about enabling people to take control of their own lives with a view of achieving their full potential. Penina will support people towards recovery through the delivery of timely, appropriate, and safe services delivered by professional clinically and/or culturally competent staff, whilst respecting the dignity and mana/mamalu, of all those that they serve.
Our organisation is run by a professional and respected Board of Trustees including our Chief Executive, Roine Lealaiauloto.
We are a strong, connected network of passionate organisations. Want to join us?
