Whatever It Takes Trust

A community based, peer support service organisation for mental health consumers who live in Hawkes Bay.

Whatever It Takes Trust operates a range of services to assist with tasks of daily living and anything else mental health consumers may need to help them move towards wellness and independent living in our communities.

One of the services that have evolved at WIT over the years is the provision of social housing. We currently have 65 properties rented out to our clients to provide them with safe, affordable housing. WIT is a Registered Social Housing provider.

Our head office is in Napier as are most of our services – including all of our staffed residential services. A large number of our clients are beneficiaries who have very few resources. We support them through our peer support service and the two Lighthouses that we operate in Napier and Hastings.

WIT also provides:

• advocates
• day activity programmes
• consumer advice
• recovery programmes
• return to work employment
• an Outreach Centre for the homeless
• social connection for mental health and addictions clients across Hawkes Bay.
